Skin Pack Packaging

skin_pack_packaging_01Skin packaging is a kind of product packaging whereby a product(s) is first placed on a slab of treated paperboard or cardboard. From there, a thin film of plastic is laid over top of them. This film goes on to adhere to the board with the introduction of a heat source and creates a vacuum, ensuring a snugly molded hold of the product. The skin packed sheet can then be cut into individual units.

Blister packaging and Skin packaging have quite a bit in common, as they are both different types of Product Packaging. Where they differ is that the plastic in one is formed around the product whereas in the other it is performed.
